Peacock will launch its Dreamworks Animation feature RUBY GILLMAN, TEENAGE KRAKEN on October 20th, 2023. The film premiered in theaters on June 30th, and then quickly went to PVOD on July 18th.

Ruby Gillman was a rare animated misstep for Universal, after the leggy success of Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and blockbuster break-out of The Super Mario Bros. Movie. It grossed a paltry $15.7M domestically, and $41.8M worldwide. Tough numbers for an animated film. They aren’t cheap to produce.

This one will eventually make its way to Netflix, where it’ll find its audience. We’ve added the release date to our streaming calendar.
