Netflix Sets Streaming Release Date for Cannes Prize Winner EMILIA PÉREZ

Netflix has set a streaming release date for their upcoming musical crime comedy EMILIA PÉREZ, which will launch on their platform on November 13th, 2024. The film will also have a limited theatrical release, with dates still to be announced.

Emilia Pérez was written and directed by Jacques Audiard and stars Zoe Saldaña, Karla Sofía Gascón, Selena Gomez, Adriana Paz, and Édgar Ramírez. The film world premiered at the 77th Cannes Film Festival, and was selected to compete for the Palme d'Or in its main competition section, where it won the Jury Prize and its female ensemble won the Best Actress award.

In the film, disgruntled lawyer Rita is tasked with assisting an escaped Mexican cartel leader in undergoing sex reassignment surgery to both evade the authorities and affirm her gender.
