Netflix Sets Streaming Premiere Date, Releases Trailer, Poster for Sports Drama REZ BALL
Netflix has set a streaming premiere date for its upcoming sports drama REZ BALL, which will world premiere at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival before streaming on their platform on September 27th, 2024.
Rez Ball was directed by Sydney Freeland, and co-written by Freeland and Sterlin Harjo, who adapted the screenplay from The New York Times journalist Michael Powell's nonfiction sports novel Canyon Dreams. LeBron James is a producer on the project. The ensemble cast features Jessica Matten, Julia Jones, Amber Midthunder, and Kiowa Gordon.
In the heart of Chuska, New Mexico, the Chuska Warriors, a high school basketball team rich in Native American heritage, face their greatest challenge. After the loss of their star player, the team must unite like never before to keep their dreams of a state championship alive.
