MUBI Releases Official Trailer for Demi Moore’s THE SUBSTANCE

MUBI has release a new trailer for their upcoming body horror drama THE SUBSTANCE, which will debut in US theaters on September 20th, 2024. The film world premiered earlier this year at the Cannes Film Festival.

The Substance was written and directed by Coralie Fargeat, and stars Demi Moore, Margaret Qualley and Dennis Quaid.

In the film, Elisabeth Sparkle, star of an aerobics show, is fired on her 50th birthday by her boss because of her age. When she returns home, her morale at its lowest, she receives an unexpected proposal. A mysterious laboratory offers her a miraculous "substance": if she injects it, she will become "the best version" of herself, "younger, more beautiful, more perfect".
