Mike Leigh’s HARD TRUTHS Gets Paramount+ w/Showtime Streaming Premiere Date

Mike Leigh’s acclaimed drama HARD TRUTHS is set to make its SVOD debut next month, arriving on Paramount+ w/Showtime on May 12th, 2025. The film world premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival and had a one-week Oscar qualifying run on December 6th, 2024. It launched in limited release in US theaters on January 10th, 2025, and hit VOD and digital platforms on February 11th.
Hard Truths is written and directed by Mike Leigh, and stars Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Michele Austin, and David Webber.
In the film, Pansy, angry and depressed, lashes out at family and strangers. Her constant criticism isolates her, except from her cheerful sister Chantal, who remains sympathetic despite their differences.
