Magnolia Pictures Sets Streaming Premiere Date, Releases Trailer for THE CONVERT

Magnolia Pictures has released a US trailer and set a streaming date for its upcoming historical drama THE CONVERT, which will arrive in US theaters and on digital and VOD platforms on July 12th, 2024.

The Convert was directed by Lee Tamahori, and stars Guy Pearce and Te Kohe Tuhaka. The script is by Shane Danielsen and Tamahori, from a story by Michael Bennett. In the film, a lay preacher arrives at a British settlement in 1830s New Zealand. His violent past is soon drawn into question, and his faith put to the test, as he finds himself caught in the middle of a bloody war between Maori tribes.
