Jude Law/Alicia Vikander Historical Drama FIREBRAND Digital Streaming Release Date Revealed

Roadside Attractions is expected to release their historical drama FIREBRAND on VOD and digital platforms next month, arriving on July 2nd, 2024. The film world premiered at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival before debuting in US theaters on June 14th, 2024.

Firebrand was directed by Karim Aïnouz and written by Henrietta Ashworth and Jessica Ashworth, based on the 2013 novel Queen's Gambit by Elizabeth Fremantle. It stars Alicia Vikander, Jude Law, and Eddie Marsan. The film marks Aïnouz's first directorial effort in the English language.

In the film, Katherine Parr, the sixth wife of King Henry VIII, is named regent while the tyrant battles abroad. When the king returns, increasingly ill and paranoid, Katherine finds herself fighting for her own survival.
