JOKER: FOLIE A DEUX Gets 4K/Bluray/DVD Release Date…Digital Streaming Date Still TBA

Warner Bros has set a release date for the JOKER: FOLIE A DEUX 4K/Bluray/DVD, which will arrive in stores on December 17th, 2024. No streaming release date has been announced, but we’ll be updating our tracking and estimate on Friday.
From acclaimed writer/director/producer Todd Phillips, “Joker: Folie À Deux,” is the much-anticipated follow-up to 2019’s Academy Award-winning “Joker,” which earned more than $1 billion at the global box office and remains the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time. The new film stars Joaquin Phoenix once again in his Oscar-winning dual role as Arthur Fleck/Joker, opposite Oscar winner Lady Gaga (“A Star Is Born”).
Unfortunately, reaction to the sequel has been poor. The first reactions out of the Venice Film Festival were an indication that the film was sure to be polarizing to its core fans. And sure enough, the film earned a ‘D’ Cinemascore over its opening weekend. Box-office was also disappointing, as the film earned only $37M over the three-day weekend, significantly below the original Joker’s opening of $96M.
