Janus Films Sets Theatrical Date, Unveils Teaser Trailer for David Cronenberg’s THE SHROUDS

Janus Films and Sideshow have set a theatrical release date for David Cronenberg’s latest THE SHROUDS, which will launch in New York and Los Angeles on April 18th, 2025, before expanding nationwide on April 25th, 2025. The film world premiered at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.

The Shrouds is written and directed by David Cronenberg, and stars Diane Kruger, Vincent Cassel, Guy Pearce, and Sandrine Holt.

In the film, inconsolable since the death of his wife, Karsh, a prominent businessman, invents a revolutionary and controversial technology that enables the living to monitor their dear departed in their shrouds. One night, multiple graves, including that of Karsh’s wife, are desecrated, and he sets out to track down the perpetrators.
