IFC Films will release their acclaimed documentary THE DISAPPEARANCE OF SHERE HITE on digital and VOD platforms, arriving January 9th, 2024. The film had its world premiere at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival before arriving in US theaters in limited release on November 17th.

The Disappearance of Shere Hite was directed by Nicole Newnham and is narrated by actress Dakota Johnson. It follows the life of American-born German sex educator and feminist Shere Hite, whose bestselling book The Hite Report liberated many women by revealing the most private experiences of thousands of anonymous surveys. Her findings rocked the American establishment and conversations about gender and sexuality.
