Historical Drama JOY Gets Netflix Streaming Premiere Date

Netflix has set a streaming release date for their upcoming historical drama JOY, which will debut on their platform on November 22nd, 2024. The film is set to world premiere at the upcoming London Film Festival.

Joy is directed by Ben Taylor and stars Bill Nighy, Thomasin McKenzie and James Norton. The screenplay is by Jack Thorne who developed the story with his wife Rachel Mason and Emma Gordon & Shaun Topp.

The film tells the story of three trailblazers: a young nurse, a visionary scientist and an innovative surgeon, all facing opposition from the church, state, media and medical establishment, in their pursuit of the world's first 'test tube baby', Louise Joy Brown.
