French Historical Drama JEANNE DU BARRY Gets Digital Streaming Release Date

The French historical drama JEANNE DU BARRY is set to make its streaming debut later this month, arriving on VOD and digital platforms on May 21st, 2024. The film world premiered at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival before launching in the US in a special engagement for Fathom Events on May 2nd, 2024.

Jeanne du Barry was directed, co-written and produced by Maïwenn, who also stars with Johnny Depp. Pierre Richard, Benjamin Lavernhe, Noémie Lvovsky, Pascal Greggory, Melvil Poupaud, and India Hair co-star.

The film’s plot centers on Madame du Barry, who uses her intelligence and allure to rise in society. She becomes King Louis XV's favourite, they fall in love, and against all propriety and etiquette, du Barry moves to Versailles, where her relationship with the king scandalizes the court.
