Christian Petzold’s AFIRE Sets Criterion Channel Streaming Premiere Date

Janus Films’ critically acclaimed drama AFIRE will make its SVOD debut next week, arriving on Criterion Channel on November 21st, 2023. The film won the Silver Bear Grand Jury Prize at this year’s Berlin International Film Festival and premiered in US theaters on July 14th.

Afire was directed by Christian Petzold, and stars Thomas Schubert, Paula Beer, Langston Uibel and Enno Trebs. The relationship drama focuses on four people who are trapped in their holiday home on the Baltic Sea by uncontrolled forest fires. It was previously released for digital sale and rental on October 17th.
