Chris Pine’s POOLMAN Gets Digital Streaming Release Date

Vertical Entertainment is expected to release their comedy mystery POOLMAN on VOD and digital platforms next week, arriving on May 31st, 2024. The film world premiered at the 2023 Toronto Film Festival before launching in US theaters on May 10th, 2024.

Poolman was directed, produced, co-written by and stars Chris Pine in his directorial debut. Co-stars include Annette Bening, DeWanda Wise, Stephen Tobolowsky, Clancy Brown, John Ortiz, Ray Wise, Juliet Mills, Ariana DeBose, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Danny DeVito.

In the film, Pine plays Darren Barrenman, an unwavering optimist and native Angeleno, who spends his days looking after the pool of the Tahitian Tiki apartment block and fighting to make his hometown a better place to live. When he’s tasked by a femme fatale to uncover the truth behind a shady business deal, Darren enlists the help of his friends to take on a corrupt politician and a greedy land developer. His investigation reveals a hidden truth about his beloved city and himself.
