CAT PERSON is Now Available on Demand…Just Not Everywhere

Rialto Pictures psychological thriller CAT PERSON has quietly been released on select platforms, launching on Hoopla and Spectrum on Demand on December 1st, 2023. The film world premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and launched in the US in limited release on October 6th.

Cat Person was directed by Susanna Fogel from a screenplay by Michelle Ashford. It’s based on the 2017 short story of the same name by Kristen Roupenian. The film stars Emilia Jones, Nicholas Braun, Geraldine Viswanathan, Hope Davis, Fred Melamed, and Isabella Rossellini.

The VOD release strategy is very unusual. Hoopla is a web and mobile (Android/iOS) library media streaming platform for audio books, comics, e-books, movies, music, and TV. Patrons of a library that supports Hoopla have access to its collection of digital media. Spectrum is a cable operator that offers TV in 41 states in the US. So unless you can access either of these two options, you’ll have to wait until the film shows up elsewhere.

We’ve added the release date to our streaming calendar.
