Barbie Digital Release Date: An Update

Last week, we reported that Warner Bros was likely shifting the PVOD date for its summer blockbuster BARBIE, pushing it back one week from September 5th to September 12th.

Our primary source on this shift came from YouTube Movies, who adjusted the date on their Barbie listing to reflect the one-week push. Not long after we posted, YouTube Movies removed their entire Barbie pre-order listing. It’s back today, but without any ‘Expected’ date. Instead, it lists the title as ‘Not Announced.’

However! Digital retailer ROW8, who had also listed Barbie’s launch date as September 5th, has now adjusted their date to September 12th. See screenshot below:

So while we’re not yet ready to call Barbie’s PVOD date 100% confirmed for September 12th, it’s looking more and more likely. Stay tuned for any news or updates.
