BARBIE Digital Date (Finally) Confirmed

Folks…we made it. Our beloved BARBIE finally has a confirmed release date for VOD and digital platforms. And as we deduced in our last Barbie post, the launch date will be September 12th, 2023.
How did we get here? Well, after both YouTube Movies and ROW8 pulled their September 5th listings, and both subsequently changed to September 12th, it seemed clear Warner Bros had pushed the release back a week. But the volatility of the listings (both have been removed) gave us pause. And then…an IMAX rerelease was announced for 9/22. Would the Barbie PVOD release be pushed to October?
We now have another listing that puts Barbie’s PVOD release on 9/12. We’ll share a screenshot as a source. It’s from Spectrum, whose listings are very reliable.
So while nothing is ever written in stone, and dates are always subject to change, we’re calling Barbie as confirmed for September 12th, 2023.
