Acclaimed Comedy-Drama BOB TREVINO LIKES IT Gets Digital Streaming Release Date

Lionsgate is set to release the acclaimed comedic drama BOB TREVINO LIKES IT on VOD and digital platforms early next month, arriving on May 6th, 2025. The film world premiered at the 2024 SXSW Festival, where it won the Grand Jury Award and Audience Award in the Narrative Feature categories. It launched in US theaters on March 21st, 2025.

Bob Trevino Likes It is written and directed by Tracie Laymon and stars Barbie Ferreira, John Leguizamo, French Stewart, Lauren 'Lolo' Spencer, and Rachel Bay Jones.

In this heartwarming story inspired by an extraordinary true friendship, lonely Lily Trevino (Ferreira) “friends” a man on social media she believes is her father, Robert. Desperate to reconnect after a falling-out, she instead finds Bob Trevino (Leguizamo). Bob discerns Lily needs a friend as much as he does, and their blossoming connection becomes a vital source of healing for both.
