Netflix has released the first trailer and poster for their upcoming fantasy adventure NARNIA: THE MAGICIAN’S NEPHEW, which will launch in US theaters on February 12th, 2027, before streaming on Netflix on April 2nd, 2027.
Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew is written for the screen, co-produced, and directed by Greta Gerwig, based on the 1955 novel The Magician’s Nephew, the sixth published and first chronological novel in the children’s book series The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis. It stars David McKenna, Beatrice Campbell, Emma Mackey, Carey Mulligan, Ciarán Hinds, Daniel Craig, and Meryl Streep.
First published in 1955, The Magician’s Nephew “shows how all the comings and goings between our own world and the land of Narnia first began,” as the novel’s opening lines read, and leads to the events of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, which launched in 1950. The seven Narnia books have sold more than 120 million copies across 70 different countries worldwide and have been adapted into more than 60 different languages to date.
