Netflix has unveiled the official trailer and poster for their upcoming dark comedy SACRIFICE, which will begin streaming on their platform on October 16th, 2026. The film world premiered in the Special Presentations section of the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival.
Sacrifice is directed by Romain Gavras, and co-written by Gavras and Will Arbery. It stars an ensemble cast that features Chris Evans, Anya Taylor-Joy, Vincent Cassel, Sam Richardson, John Malkovich, and Salma Hayek.
In the film, during a star-studded charity gala brimming with celebrities, billionaires and empty speeches, a movie star in the midst of an existential crisis (Chris Evans) is taken hostage by a radical warrior (Anya Taylor-Joy) and her devoted followers. As the night descends into chaos, both an inward journey and an outward adventure ensue, where the line between performance and belief, salvation and sacrifice, begins to blur.
