Cineverse is set to release their horror thriller MONKEY’S MAGIC MERRY GO ROUND on VOD and digital platforms next month, arriving on May 19th, 2026. The film will also begin streaming on the company’s Screambox SVOD service the same day. The film world premiered at the 2024 Leeds International Film Festival.
Monkey’s Magic Merry Go Round is directed by Aidan Leary, and stars Michael Gilio, Frank Cesario, and Connar Brown Sprenger.
In the film, James Jensen hosts a children’s series celebrating imagination and memory, yet he slowly realizes his own past is missing. As episodes progress, the playful world of puppets and colorful sets fractures into something darker. Distorted interactions trigger fragments of a childhood trauma linked to a devastating house fire, forcing him to confront what he suppressed.
