Universal Pictures is set to release their long-delayed M3GAN spin-off SOULM8TE on VOD and digital platforms next month, arriving on August 1st, 2026. The film will not be release theatrically.
Soulm8te is directed by Kate Dolan and written by Rafael Jordan and Dolan, based on a story by James Wan, Ingrid Bisu, and Jordan. It stars Lily Sullivan, David Rysdahl, Claudia Doumit, Arty Froushan, Elijah Cook, Emma Ramos, Mara Huf, Isabelle Bonfrer, Jon Tarcy, and Ossian Perret.
In the film, after a ruthless tech giant acquires his company, a grieving engineer is tasked with testing their new AI companion. But when he attempts to program her to be a truly sentient soulmate, she develops needs of her own—unleashing a relentless spree of precision-engineered mayhem.
