Lee Chang-dong’s POSSIBLE LOVE Sets Netflix Streaming Premiere Date

Netflix is set to release the Lee Chang-dong drama POSSIBLE LOVE on their platform in the Fall, arriving on November 6th, 2026. The film will world premiere at the Venice Film Festival before heading to the Toronto International Film Festival, and is set to launch in US theaters on October 23rd, 2026.

Possible Love is directed by Lee Chang-dong and co-written with Oh Jung-mi. It stars Jeon Do-yeon, Sul Kyung-gu, Zo In-sung, and Cho Yeo-jeong.

In his first film since 2018’s Burning, Lee explores the story of two married couples — Mi-ok (Jeon Do-yeon) and her laid-off husband, Ho-seok (Sul Kyung-gu); and the affluent pair Ye-ji (Cho Yeo-jeong), a documentary filmmaker, and her spouse, Sang-woo (Zo In-sung) — whose worlds collide as Ye-ji seeks to film a documentary about laid-off workers. As their lives become increasingly intertwined, the couples confront repressed emotions and hidden desires.
