According to our sources, Lionsgate Films is expected to release their music comedy POWER BALLAD on VOD and digital platforms later this month, arriving on June 23rd, 2026. The film world premiered at the Dublin International Film Festival before launching in the US in select theaters on May 29th, and expanding wide on June 5th.

Power Ballad is directed by John Carney, written by Carney and Peter McDonald, and stars Paul Rudd, Nick Jonas, Havana Rose Liu, and Jack Reynor.
In the film, when Rick, a past-his-prime wedding singer, meets fading boy-band star Danny during a gig, the two bond over music and a late-night jam session. But when Danny turns one of Rick’s songs into the hit that reignites his career, Rick sets out to reclaim the recognition he believes he deserves – even if it means risking everything he cares about.
