The Paramount Pictures horror thriller PRIMATE is set to make its SVOD debut later this month, arriving on Paramount+ on March 25th, 2026. The film launched in US theaters on January 9th, 2026, and hit PVOD on February 10th, 2026.
Primate is directed by Johannes Roberts and co-written by Roberts and Ernest Riera. It stars Johnny Sequoyah, Jessica Alexander, Troy Kotsur, Victoria Wyant, Gia Hunter, Benjamin Cheng, Charlie Mann, and Tienne Simon.
In the film, home from college, Lucy reunites with family including pet chimp Ben. Ben contracts rabies during a pool party and turns aggressive. Lucy and friends barricade in pool, devising ways to survive the vicious chimp.
