According to our sources, NEON is expected to release their sci-fi drama SHEEP IN THE BOX on VOD and digital platforms early next month, arriving on September 8th, 2026. The film world premiered at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival before launching in US theaters on July 24th, 2026.

Sheep in the Box is written, directed and edited by Hirokazu Koreeda, and stars Haruka Ayase, Daigo Yamamoto, Rimu Kuwaki, and Nana Seino.
In the film, in the near future, Otone and Kensuke, a grieving couple who have lost their son, take into their lives a humanoid identical to their late child.
