The Gus Van Sant crime drama DEAD MAN’S WIRE is set to make its SVOD debut next month, arriving on Netflix on May 28th, 2026. The film world premiered out of competition at last year’s Venice Film Festival before launching in US theaters on January 9th, 2026. It hit VOD and digital platforms on February 24th, 2026.
Dead Man’s Wire is directed by Gus Van Sant, written by Austin Kolodney, and stars Bill Skarsgård, Dacre Montgomery, Colman Domingo, Myha’la, Cary Elwes, John Robinson, and Al Pacino.
Set in 1977 and based on a true story, Tony Kiritsis, a former real estate developer puts a dead man’s switch on himself and the mortgage banker who did him wrong, demanding $5 million and a personal apology.
