Update 6/2: Despite being available for sale and rental on Apple TV this morning, HUNTING MATTHEW NICHOLS has been pulled from the platform. We’ve removed it from the Streaming Calendar and will update this post with any news of a new launch date.


The Canadian indie found-footage horror film HUNTING MATTHEW NICHOLS is set to make its streaming debut early next month, arriving on VOD and digital platforms on June 2nd, 2026. The film world premiered at the 2024 Newport Beach Film Festival before launching in US theaters on April 10th, 2026.

Hunting Matthew Nichols is directed by Markian Tarasiuk, and stars Miranda MacDougall, Markian Tarasiuk, Ryan Alexander McDonald, Christine Willes, Susinn McFarlen, Trevor Carroll, James Ross, Issiah Bull Bear, and Bernard Cuffling.

In the film, twenty-three years after her brother mysteriously disappeared, a documentary filmmaker sets out to solve his missing person’s case. But when a disturbing piece of evidence is revealed, she comes to believe that her brother might still be alive.
