According to Variety, Universal Pictures is set to release the epic adventure THE ODYSSEY on VOD and digital platforms later this year, arriving on November 17th, 2026. The film launched in US theaters on July 17th, 2026. The film’s 4K/Blu-ray/DVD is set to launch at retail on the same day.
The Odyssey is written, directed, and co-produced by Christopher Nolan. An adaptation of the ancient Greek epic poem Odyssey attributed to Homer, the film stars Matt Damon as Odysseus, the king of Ithaca, and chronicles his long and perilous journey home following the Trojan War, as he attempts to reunite with his wife, Penelope.
The ensemble cast also features Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, Benny Safdie, John Leguizamo, Elliot Page, Himesh Patel, Mia Goth, and Corey Hawkins.
