According to our sources, A24 is expected to release their biopic TONY on VOD and digital platforms later this month, arriving on September 15th, 2026. The film launched in US theaters in limited release on August 7th, 2026, before expanding wide on August 21st, 2026.

Tony is directed by Matt Johnson, and written by Johnson, Matthew Miller, Todd Bartels and Lou Howe. Based on the life of Anthony Bourdain, it stars Dominic Sessa as Bourdain alongside Emilia Jones, Dagmara Domińczyk, Rich Sommer, Stavros Halkias, Leo Woodall, and Antonio Banderas.
In the film, a 19-year-old Anthony Bourdain travels to Provincetown and stumbles into the chaotic world of a restaurant kitchen, setting off a summer that will shape the course of his life.
