Cineverse is set to release their animated sci-fi comedy LESBIAN SPACE PRINCESS on VOD and digital platforms later this month, arriving on November 18th, 2025. The film had its world premiere at the 2025 Berlin International Film Festival, where it won the Teddy Award. It launched in US theaters on October 31st, 2025.
Lesbian Space Princess is written and directed by Emma Hough Hobbs and Leela Varghese in their directorial debut. It features the voices of Shabana Azeez, Bernie Van Tiel, Gemma Chua-Tran, Richard Roxburgh, Kween Kong, and comedy troupe Aunty Donna.
In the film, a space princess is thrust out of her sheltered life and into a galactic quest to save her bounty hunter ex-girlfriend from the Straight White Maliens.
