Briarcliff Entertainment is set to release their animated adventure comedy STITCH HEAD on VOD and digital platforms later this month, arriving on November 18th, 2025. The film world premiered at this year’s Annecy International Animation Film Festival before launching in US theaters on October 29th, 2025.
Stitch Head is directed and written by Steve Hudson, based on the 2011 graphic novel of the same name by the British author Guy Bass. It features the voices of Asa Butterfield, Joel Fry, Tia Bannon, Rob Brydon, Alison Steadman, Fern Brady, and Jamali Maddix.
In the film, Stitch Head was the first creature brought to ‘almost life’ by mad professor Erasmus. In the years since, he’s become nursemaid to the master’s ever-growing menagerie of neglected creatures, tasked with teaching them to suppress their ‘inner monster’ and hide out in the castle — away from prying eyes and itchy pitchfork fingers, of the village mob in the valley below. But when grubby circus impresario Fulbert Freakfinder arrives offering Stitch Head a starring role in his freak show, our hero is tempted by the promise of love and acceptance.
