Watermelon Pictures is set to release the acclaimed docudrama THE VOICE OF HIND RAJAB on VOD and digital platforms later this winter, arriving on March 3rd, 2026. The film world premiered at the 2025 Venice Film Festival, where it won the Grand Jury Prize, and launched in US theaters in limited release on December 17th, 2025.
The Voice of Hind Rajab is written and directed by Kaouther Ben Hania, and stars Saja Kilani, Motaz Malhees, Amer Hlehel, and Clara Khoury.
The film’s official synopsis is as follows: January 29, 2024. Red Crescent volunteers receive an emergency call. A 5-year old girl is trapped in a car under fire in Gaza, pleading for rescue. While trying to keep her on the line, they do everything they can to get an ambulance to her. Her name was Hind Rajab.
The Voice of Hind Rajab was selected as the Tunisian entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 98th Academy Awards, making the December shortlist. At the 83rd Golden Globe Awards, it was nominated for Best Non-English Language Film, losing to Brazil’s The Secret Agent.
