A24’s adventure thriller THE DEATH OF ROBIN HOOD is set to make its SVOD debut next month, arriving on HBO Max on October 16th, 2026. The film world premiered at the 2026 Sydney Film Festival before launching in US theaters on June 19th, 2026. It hit VOD and digital platforms on July 28th, 2026.
The Death of Robin Hood is based on the Robin Hood legend “Robin Hood’s Death”, and is written and directed by Michael Sarnoski. It stars Hugh Jackman as Robin Hood, plus Jodie Comer, Bill Skarsgård, Murray Bartlett, and Noah Jupe.
In the film, grappling with his past after a life of crime and murder, Robin Hood finds himself gravely injured after a battle he thought would be his last. In the hands of a mysterious woman, he is offered a chance at salvation.
