A24’s dark comedic thriller HOW TO MAKE A KILLING is set to make its SVOD debut next month, arriving on HBO Max on June 19th, 2026. The film launched in US theaters on February 20th, 2026, and hit PVOD on March 24th.
Additionally, the film will debut on HBO linear on SATURDAY, JUNE 20 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
How to Make a Killing is written and directed by John Patton Ford (Emily the Criminal). The script was loosely inspired by the 1949 British film Kind Hearts and Coronets by Robert Hamer and John Dighton, and stars Glen Powell, Margaret Qualley, Jessica Henwick, Zach Woods, Topher Grace, Bill Camp, and Ed Harris.
In the film, disowned at birth by his obscenely wealthy family, blue-collar Becket Redfellow (Glen Powell) will stop at nothing to reclaim his inheritance, no matter how many relatives stand in his way.
