The Independent Film Company zombie thriller THIS IS NOT A TEST is set to make its SVOD debut next month, arriving on Shudder on May 22nd, 2026. The film world premiered at the 2025 Toronto After Dark Film Festival before launching in US theaters on February 20th, 2026. It hit VOD and digital platforms on March 13th, 2026.
This is Not a Test is written and directed by Adam MacDonald, who adapted from the 2012 novel of the same name by Courtney Summers. It stars Olivia Holt, Froy Gutierrez, and Luke MacFarlane.
In the film, Sloane and four classmates take cover in Cortege High to escape a world plagued by the infected. As danger relentlessly pounds on the doors, Sloane begins to see the world through the eyes of those who actually want to live and takes matters into her own hands.
