In our weekly feature, we’re taking a look at the top 10 titles on the Apple TV, Prime Video, and Fandango at Home transactional digital services. These charts are a snapshot and change daily, but we thought it would be interesting to give you a weekly analysis.
This week, THE RUNNING MAN and NOW YOU SEE ME: NOW YOU DON’T elbowed their way through a crowd of holiday perennials to start strong on all three charts. SISU: ROAD TO REVENGE also managed a top 10 spot with two of the three retailers.
Jafar Panahi’s IT WAS JUST AN ACCIDENT had a nice start on Apple, where it comes in at #46. It struggled a bit on Fandango, only reaching #135. Aaron Eckhardt’s THIEVES HIGHWAY over-performed on Fandango, coming in at #21, though it didn’t chart on Apple. Another actioner, KING IVORY, made it to #60 on Fandango.
New releases from last week that failed to chart with any retailer: THE THING WITH FEATHERS and PUT YOUR SOUL ON YOUR HAND AND WALK.
After launching on HBO on Friday, ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER fell out of the Top 10 charts with all three retailers.

- Fandango customers couldn’t get enough of this Lionsgate title, with both the film and the bundle (at #6) making the Top 10.

- This Glen Powell action remake might have under-performed in theaters, but digital sales started strong this week.
- (New) SpongeBob Popcorn Premiere Pack – $49.99 Sale Only
- The animated film had a Fandango tie-in with an exclusive popcorn bucket. Sales were brisk.

- Nice start for Sony’s Finnish action sequel, which was always going to do much better on VOD than in theaters.

- Will the Dwayne Johnson – Chris Evans holiday action comedy from last year become a perennial classic? Stranger things have happened.

- Paramount takes the top spot on Apple.

- Another Lionsgate discount, another Top 10 finish.

- Again…very good start for this title, especially considering how clogged the charts are with low-cost holiday films.

- Will Ferrell refused to relinquish his crown on the Prime Video charts. People can’t get enough of Elf.
- (4) THE HOLIDAY – $9.99 Sale / $3.99 Rental
- All hail Nancy Meyers. Not our favorite of hers, but she makes movies that last.
- (New) THE RUNNING MAN – $24.99 Sale / $19.99 Rental
- The Steven King adaptation edges out the magicians on this chart.

- A price drop propels this Colleen Hoover adaptation back in to the Top 10. It hits Paramount+ tomorrow.

- Nice to see this year-old Lionsgate holiday film pop back up. It’s better than Red One!
