OPPENHEIMER continues to defy expectations, as the summer box-office smash extends its theatrical run into the fall. We mentioned in our streaming estimate that Christopher Nolan had secured a lengthy 100-day exclusive window in theaters for the film from Universal. That number, it now seems, is low.

In an interview with AP News, Oppenheimer producer Emma Thomas discussed the gratifying success of the film, and also gives a general sense of when the film will be available digitally:

So if we read the writing on the wall, it’s likely Oppenheimer could hit digital platform around Thanksgiving, which this year falls on November 23rd. We’ll post with updates, of course, including when the film becomes available for pre-order.
