BAD ACTOR: A HOLLYWOOD PONZI SCHEME - Hulu
Synopsis: Wannabe actor Zachary Horwitz was desperate to make it big as a movie star. The only thing stopping him was talent. Bad Actor: A Hollywood Ponzi Scheme is a juicy true story about deception, denial, and the seductive promise of fame and fortune.
Fun Fact: Another documentary on the subject, titled Hollywood Ending, was acquired by Amazon MGM Studios, with a release date still to be announced.
CHRISTMAS EVE IN MILLER’S POINT (VOD/Digital)
Synopsis: A rambunctious extended family descends upon their small Long Island hometown for the holidays where hijinks, generational squabbles, and family traditions ensue.
Fun Fact: The film features Steven Spielberg’s son (Sawyer Spielberg) and Martin Scorsese’s daughter (Francesca Scorsese).
EXHIBITING FORGIVENESS (VOD/Digital)
Synopsis: Utilizing his paintings to find freedom from his past, a Black artist on the path to success is derailed by an unexpected visit from his estranged father, a recovering addict desperate to reconcile. Together, they learn that forgetting might be a greater challenge than forgiving.
Fun Fact: This is renowned painter Titus Kapher’s directorial debut.
JUROR #2 (VOD/Digital)
Synopsis: While serving as a juror in a high profile murder trial, family man Justin Kemp finds himself struggling with a serious moral dilemma…one he could use to sway the jury verdict and potentially convict—or free—the accused killer.
Fun Fact: Toni Collette and Nicholas Hoult previously played mother and son in 2002’s About a Boy.
WEEKEND IN TAIPEI (PVOD)
Synopsis: A former DEA agent and a former undercover operative revisit their romance during a fateful weekend in Taipei, unaware of the dangerous consequences of their past.

BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE (Max)
Synopsis: After a family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Betelgeuse, Lydia's life is turned upside down when her teenage daughter, Astrid, accidentally opens the portal to the Afterlife.
Fun Fact: Lydia hosts her own paranormal investigation show called "Ghost House", which was almost the name of the first movie. Screenwriter Al Gough told Variety, "They didn't like 'Beetlejuice.' Tim (Burton) really had to fight to call it 'Beetlejuice.'"
CHRISTMAS EVE IN MILLER’S POINT (AMC+)
Synopsis: A rambunctious extended family descends upon their small Long Island hometown for the holidays where hijinks, generational squabbles, and family traditions ensue.
Fun Fact: The film world premiered at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival as part of the prestigious Director’s Fortnight section.
FLY ME TO THE MOON (Apple TV+)
Synopsis: Sparks fly in all directions as marketing maven Kelly Jones, brought in to fix NASA's public image, wreaks havoc on Apollo 11 launch director Cole Davis' already difficult task of putting a man on the moon. When the White House deems the mission too important to fail, Jones is directed to stage a fake moon landing as backup, and the countdown truly begins.
Fun Fact: As several scenes were shot on site at the Kennedy Space Center, many of the background NASA engineers were played by actual NASA, SpaceX, and Boeing engineers.
GOOD ONE (VOD/Digital)
Synopsis: On a weekend backpacking trip in the Catskills, 17-year-old Sam contends with the competing egos of her father and his oldest friend.
Fun Fact: The film is nominated for two Gotham Awards, including Breakthrough Director (India Donaldson) and Breakthrough Performer (Lily Collias).
MARY (Netflix)
Synopsis: Mary conceives a child miraculously, angering King Herod who seeks to kill the newborn fearing he'll threaten his power. Mary is forced into hiding with her infant son.
Fun Fact: Two-time Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins plays King Herod.
THE PEOPLE’S JOKER (MUBI)
Synopsis: An aspiring clown grappling with her gender identity combats a fascistic caped crusader.
Fun Fact: Filmmaker Vera Drew was nominated for Breakthrough Director at this year’s Gotham Awards.
SPEAK NO EVIL (Peacock)
Synopsis: When an American family is invited to spend the weekend at the idyllic country estate of a charming British family they befriended on vacation, what begins as a dream holiday soon warps into a snarled psychological nightmare.
Fun Fact: Mackenzie Davis and Scoot McNairy previously worked together on the fantastic AMC series Halt and Catch Fire.
SUMMER CAMP (Hulu)
Synopsis: When an American family is invited to spend the weekend at the idyllic country estate of a charming British family they befriended on vacation, what begins as a dream holiday soon warps into a snarled psychological nightmare.
Fun Fact: The film was shot at Camp Pinnacle in Hendersonville NC, one of the summer camps used for the 90s Disney film Heavyweights.

THE CONVERT (Hulu)
Synopsis: Munro, a soldier turned lay preacher, comes to New Zealand to minister to the first British colonists, but he is converted by the powerful chief Maianui to serve a different purpose.
Fun Fact: Star Guy Pearce is in the hunt for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination for his turn in The Brutalist. It would be his first.
SUPER/MAN: THE CHRISTOPHER REEVE STORY (Max, 8p ET)
Synopsis: Christopher Reeve portrayed the Man of Steel in four Superman films and played dozens of other roles that displayed his talent and range as an actor, before being injured in a near-fatal horse-riding accident in 1995 that left him paralyzed from the neck down. After becoming a quadriplegic, he became a charismatic leader and activist in the quest to find a cure for spinal cord injuries, as well as a passionate advocate for disability rights and care.
Sad Fact: Disability rights advocate Brooke Ellison is interviewed, and she died two weeks after the documentary's premiere at Sundance. Christopher Reeve directed her television biopic The Brooke Ellison Story (2004), which aired two weeks after his death. Clips of the biopic are featured in the documentary.

Synopsis: Three lifelong friends travel to Key West, Florida to be bridesmaids in the surprise wedding of their college girlfriend Marilyn. Synopsis: This free-form film is a self-portrait, which revisits more than 40 years of the author’s filmography and questions the major stations of his life, while capturing the political tremors of the time.
Fun Fact: Director Leos Carax re-teamed here with cinematographer Caroline Champetier and production designer Florian Sanson, both of whom worked on Carax's last two films Annette and Holy Motors.
SUGARCANE (Hulu)
Synopsis: An investigation into abuse and missing children at an Indian residential school ignites a reckoning on the nearby Sugarcane Reserve.
Fun Fact: The film is nominated for Best Documentary Feature at this year’s Gotham Film Awards.

Synopsis: A young TSA agent fights to outsmart a mysterious traveler who blackmails him into letting a dangerous package slip onto a Christmas Eve flight.
Fun Fact: The first film by Amblin Entertainment to be released under their multiple film deal with Netflix. Does that mean we might finally see Distant????
DAHOMEY (MUBI, VOD/Digital)
Synopsis: Thousands of royal artifacts of Dahomey, a West African kingdom, were taken by French colonists in the 19th century for collection and display in Paris. Centuries later, a fraction returned to their home in modern-day Benin. This dramatized documentary follows the journey of 26 of the treasures as told by cultural art historians, embattled university students, and one of the repatriated statues himself.
Fun Fact: Official submission of Senegal for the 'Best International Feature Film' category of the 97th Academy Awards in 2025.
ELTON JOHN: NEVER TOO LATE (Disney+)
Synopsis: Sir Elton John looks back on his life and the astonishing early days of his 50-year career in this emotionally charged, full-circle journey. As he prepares for his final concert in North America at Dodger Stadium, Elton takes us back in time and recounts his struggles with adversity, abuse, and addiction, and how he overcame them to become the icon he is today.
Fun Fact: Disney acquired rights to the film for a reported $30M.
JOKER: FOLIE A DEUX (Max)
Synopsis: While struggling with his dual identity, Arthur Fleck not only stumbles upon true love, but also finds the music that's always been inside him.

CUCKOO (Hulu)
Synopsis: After reluctantly moving to the German Alps with her father and his new family, Gretchen discovers that their new town hides sinister secrets, as she's plagued by strange noises and frightening visions of a woman pursuing her.

SMALL THINGS LIKE THESE (VOD/Digital)
Synopsis: While working as a coal merchant to support his family, Bill Furlong discovers disturbing secrets kept by the local convent and uncovers truths of his own; forcing him to confront his past and the complicit silence of a small Irish town controlled by the Catholic Church.
Fun Fact: Eileen Walsh, who plays the wife of Cillian Murphy's character, also played a main character in 2002’s The Magdalene Sisters. Both movies deal with the horrors that went on for young women in the Magdalene "laundries".
