MUBI has set a streaming premiere date for their hit body horror thriller THE SUBSTANCE, which will launch on their platform on October 31st, 2024. The film world premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, where it won the screenplay prize, and launched in US theaters on September 20th, 2024.

No word yet on a digital sale/rental or physical release date. We’ll post as soon as we get any news.

The Substance is written, directed, and co-produced by Coralie Fargeat. It stars Demi Moore, Margaret Qualley, and Dennis Quaid.

In the film, a fading celebrity decides to usea black market drug, a cell-replicating substance that temporarily creates a younger, better version of herself.
