The Warner Bros animated film THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE WAR OF THE ROHIRRIM is set to make its SVOD debut later next month, arriving on Max on February 28th, 2025. The film launched in US theaters on December 13th, 2024, before hitting PVOD on December 27th, 2024.

The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim is directed by Kenji Kamiyama from a screenplay by Jeffrey Addiss & Will Matthews and Phoebe Gittins & Arty Papageorgiou, based on characters created by J. R. R. Tolkien. It features the voices of Brian Cox, Gaia Wise, Luke Pasqualino, and Miranda Otto.

In the film, 183 years before the events chronicled in the original trilogy, a sudden attack by Wulf, a clever and ruthless Dunlending lord seeking vengeance for the death of his father, forces Helm Hammerhand and his people to make a daring last stand in the ancient stronghold of the Hornburg. Finding herself in an increasingly desperate situation, Héra, the daughter of Helm, must summon the will to lead the resistance against a deadly enemy intent on their total destruction.
