According to our sources, Vertical Entertainment is expected to release their horror mystery THE DAMNED on VOD and digital platforms later this month, arriving on January 21st, 2025. The film world premiered at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival before launching in US theaters on January 3rd, 2025.

The Damned is directed by Thordur Palsson and written by Jamie Hannigan from a story by Palsson. It stars Joe Cole, Odessa Young, Siobhan Finneran, Rory McCann, Turlough Convery, Lewis Gribben, Francis Magee, and Mícheál Óg Lane.

In the film, a 19th-century widow is tasked with making an impossible choice when, during an especially cruel winter, a ship sinks off the coast of her impoverished Icelandic fishing village. Any attempt to rescue survivors risks further depleting the starving villagers’ supplies.
