Looks like Lionsgate is fast-tracking its summer horror comedy THE BLACKENING to SVOD. Starz posted on its website that the film will launch on October 4th, 2023.

THE BLACKENING, which hit theaters on June 16th, was a low-key success for the studio, grossing $17.7M on a $5M budget. Not quite enough to call it a break-out hit, but certainly respectable. It arrived on PVOD July 7th, and will fit nicely as a Halloween offering on Starz.
