Streaming Date Revealed for William Friedkin’s Final Film, THE CAINE MUTINY COURT-MARTIAL
Paramount+ w/Showtime will premiere the final film of legendary filmmaker William Friedkin, the updated adaptation of THE CAINE MUTINY COURT-MARTIAL. It will launch on the SVOD platform on October 6th, 2023, one month after its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival. A theatrical launch has not been announced.
The film is based on the court-martial scenes of the Herman Wouk novel The Caine Mutiny, which was adapted into a film of the same name. The trial had previously been dramatized as a stage play. It stars Kiefer Sutherland, Jake Lacy, Jason Clarke, and the late Lance Reddick.
Friedkin, the director of The Exorcist, The French Connection, Sorcerer, and Cruising, died on August 7th of this year.
