The first teaser trailer for Netflix’s apocalyptic thriller LEAVE THE WORLD BEHIND has arrived. The film will have its world premiere at the AFI Film Festival on October 25th and then launch on Netflix on December 8th, 2023.

Leave the World Behind stars Julia Roberts, Mahershala Ali, Ethan Hawke, Myha'la Herrold, and Kevin Bacon. It’s directed by Sam Esmail and is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Rumaan Alam.

The premise is: A family vacation on Long Island is interrupted by two strangers bearing news of a mysterious blackout. As the threat grows more imminent, both families must decide how best to survive the potential crisis, all while grappling with their own place in this collapsing world.
