Lionsgate has released a new trailer and poster for the upcoming prequel THE HUNGER GAMES: THE BALLAD OF SONGBIRDS & SNAKES. It is scheduled to open wide in US theaters on November 17th, 2023.

The film tells the story of Coriolanus Snow, who 64 years before he became the tyrannical president of Panem, sees a chance for a change in fortunes when he mentors Lucy Gray Baird, the female tribute from District 12. Francis Lawrence once again directs, with Tom Blyth, Rachel Ziegler and Peter Dinklage co-starring.
