Jason Reitman’s SATURDAY NIGHT Gets Netflix Streaming Premiere Date
The Sony Pictures ensemble comedy SATURDAY NIGHT is set to make its SVOD debut later this month, arriving on Netflix on January 25th, 2025. The film world premiered at last year’s Telluride Film Festival before launching in US theaters in limited release on September 27th, 2024. It debuted on PVOD on November 12th, 2024.
Saturday Night is directed by Jason Reitman and written by Reitman and Gil Kenan. The film stars Gabriel LaBelle, Cooper Hoffman, Rachel Sennott, Ella Hunt, Andrew Barth Feldman, Finn Wolfhard, Dylan O’Brien, Cory Michael Smith, and Willem Dafoe.
At 11:30pm on October 11th, 1975, a ferocious troupe of young comedians and writers changed television forever. Saturday Night is based on the true story of what happened behind the scenes in the 90 minutes leading up to the first broadcast of Saturday Night Live. Full of humor, chaos, and the magic of a revolution that almost wasn't, we count down the minutes in real time to the famous words: "Live from New York, it's Saturday night!"
