IFC Films is set to release their action horror film AZRAEL on VOD and digital platforms later this month, arriving on October 25th, 2024. That same day it will also begin streaming on Shudder. The film world premiered at the 2024 SXSW Festival before launching in US theaters on September 27th, 2024.

Azrael was directed by E. L. Katz and written by Simon Barrett. The film stars Samara Weaving, Vic Carmen Sonne and Nathan Stewart-Jarrett.

The film’s story is as follows: In a world where no one speaks, a devout female hunts down a young woman who has escaped her imprisonment. Recaptured by its ruthless leaders, Azrael is due to be sacrificed to pacify an ancient evil deep within the surrounding wilderness.
