Here’s What’s Coming to Shudder in December 2024
Shudder has announced the titles arriving on their platform in December 2024, including new movie premieres LAST STRAW and A CREATURE WAS STIRRING. Also coming is the Shudder Original special JOE BOB’S CHRISTMAS CARNAGE.

December 2024 Programming Highlights
Synopsis: A rural roadside diner becomes the host of a maniacal killing spree – leaving a young waitress to clean up the mess. After hard-headed Nancy fires the staff at her dad’s diner, she decides to cover the last shift of the night by herself. Little does she know she is far from alone. The day is coming back to haunt her and when things begin to spiral out of control, she must fight for her life over the course of the long night.
Synopsis: Faith (Chrissy Metz, This is Us) keeps her troubled teenage daughter on a tightly controlled but illicit pill regimen in order to ward off a terrifying affliction. But after a Christmas burglary, their family secret may finally be exposed. Also starring Scout Taylor-Compton (Rob Zombie’s Halloween) and Annalise Basso (Captain Fantastic).
Synopsis: From Severin Films and renowned author, producer, and filmmaker Kier-La Janisse (Woodlands Dark and Days Bewitched: A History of Folk Horror, House of Psychotic Women), comes new series The Haunted Season. Created by Janisse, new episodes of The Haunted Season will arrive on Shudder each December with chilling short form horror tales in the tradition of telling ghost stories for Christmas. The first, from director Sean Hogan, is To Fire You Come at Last. In rural 17th century England, a group of men gathers to carry a coffin to the graveyard for burial. Much ancient folklore and superstition surround the pathway to the church, and several members of the party are afraid to walk it after dark. The grieving father promises to double their wages if they make the frightening journey.
Synopsis: A schoolteacher is forced to confront a brutal act from his past when a pair of ruthless drifters take his family and him on a nightmare road trip.
Synopsis: After a tragedy, John Ingram and his wife Rae are spending some time isolated at sea, when they come across a stranger who has abandoned a sinking ship.
Synopsis: A small town’s women give birth to unfriendly alien children posing as humans.
Synopsis: From writers and executive producers Mark Duplass and Patrick Brice, The Creep Tapes continues to unravel the mind of a secluded serial killer who lures videographers into his world with the promise of a paid job documenting his life. Unfortunately, as the tape rolls, the killer’s questionable intentions surface with his increasingly odd behavior and the victims will learn they may have made a deadly mistake.
Synopsis: Who will be the winner of the coveted Dragula crown and take home the $100,000 grand prize? Dubbed “Season 666,” the next chapter of Emmy-nominated The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula is the most ambitious and terrifying yet, with world-renowned actors and directors joining the judges' panel, raising the stakes to hellish new heights. Every episode promises spine-chilling, extreme physical feats that will push the cast of drag superstars to confront their darkest fears.
Synopsis: Snow is falling and the bodies are piling up for Joe Bob's Christmas Carnage, when Joe Bob and Darcy host two holiday horror flicks featuring so much bloodshed that Santa will think twice before coming down this chimney.
