As reported in The Wrap, Warner Bros Discovery CEO David Zaslav gave an update on the studio’s streaming plans for its summer phenomenon BARBIE. He stressed the company’s commitment to theatrical windows, but also emphasized the value in a robust, revenue generating PVOD window:

These comments seem to support our earlier forecast on BARBIE’s streaming future. The film continues to dominate at the box-office, and is on track to be the highest-grossing movie of the year.
